Music

Snow Patrol are an alternative rock band from Dundee in Scotland. They have been arpund since the mid ninties and have had a couple of chart topping albums and other less popular.

Throughout the working week we will hear music in various different incarnations. We may wake up to the radio or the sound of our mobile phones playing music to us (if that is your alarm) and as the day progresses we will continue to hear music – you might play it in your car, then if you work at a large company they might have music playing in the lobby (and if you work in a shop, there may be a radio on the shop floor).

Then there are those hidden moments where you might not even realise you are listening to music, from the ringtone on your mobile to the start up sound as you fire up your computer.

Music is everywhere, and it adds a happy tone to our day.

Come the weekend and a lot of people’s view of music changes. It is no longer something to make the working day more pleasant – it becomes a social experience. On Friday and Saturday nights, towns come alive with clubs and bars opening late into the night. People join their friends and music becomes a large part of the experience.
